Job summary

Penske is hiring a Technician in Montgomery, AL. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske’s tools and technologies and following safety policies. Learn through hands-on coaching and industry training to grow your career.

Shifts are Monday–Friday 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, with a focus on safety and reliability across multiple OEMs. Equal opportunity employer and strong benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use tools; comfort with problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Make sure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance—replacing or rotating tires, lubrication and replacement of components, some electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands-on coaching.
• Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
