Job summary

SYSCO FOODS in Jessup, MD is seeking a Master Diesel Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on our fleet of tractors and trailers, ensuring safety and reliability on the road. You will diagnose complex issues, service electrical and refrigeration systems, and execute repairs to manufacturer specifications.

This full-time role requires relevant training or experience in medium/heavy-duty trucking, ASE certifications, and DOT/OSHA knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety and reliability.
• Conduct Annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Repair and diagnose engines, transmissions, electrical and HVAC systems per manufacturer specs.
• Perform electrical and welding work as needed; use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Document work performed on work orders and mentor junior technicians.
