Job summary

North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment to improve reliability and safety. You will work with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, and refrigeration while following strict inspection procedures.

The role requires completing inspections (FAI/CVI) per regulations, mentoring junior technicians, and occasionally taking on supervisory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL license preferred but not required.
• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent coursework.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance within planned time tolerances.
• Conduct Annual FAI/CVI inspections per federal, state, and local rules.
• Repair and diagnose engines, transmissions, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
• Follow work-order documentation procedures and report findings.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I and II for development.
