Job summary

Sysco Jackson, LLC is seeking a Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on a nationwide fleet, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

You will diagnose issues across engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and refrigeration units, conduct annual inspections, and mentor junior technicians. CDL preferred but not required; shifts may include third shift. Sysco offers boots/tools allowances and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL preferred, not required.
• 2-year school plus 4 years of experience or 5 years of fleet maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within established time tolerances.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Document all work on work orders and maintain service records.
• Mentor Fleet Technician I/II to develop skills and responsibilities.
• May assume moderate supervisory duties when Fleet Manager is unavailable.
