Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Diagnostics Engineering specialist to advance vehicle high voltage charging systems, interoperability, and industry standards. You will lead software development for diagnostics, design electrical architectures, and define requirements for complex diagnostic systems using AI tools and telemetry data.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with software, hardware, and field teams, plus hands-on testing and documentation to improve service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with High Voltage Charging and EVSE in automotive or related industry.
• Experience with C++, Python, SQL, Linux.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude, Devin, or Cursor.
• Experience with vehicle CAN and Ethernet tools (Vector CANalyzer, Wireshark).

Responsibilities

• Translate software and requirements into clear diagnostic information and repair procedures.
• Represent the Service domain to the software team and ensure tools and bug fixes meet Service needs.
• Design software requirements for new DTCs to improve detection and repair.
• Use AI coding tools to build and modify diagnostic content and scripts.
• Develop and validate diagnostic content, testing procedures, and evaluation logic.
