Job summary

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows in secure cloud environments supporting national security missions.

You will drive automation across iterative projects, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and infra teams to ensure platform reliability and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is required.
• DoD 8140 requirements including Security+ CE certification.
• STEM degree or higher; experience may substitute for a degree.
• 10+ years in CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps on iterative projects.
• Experience with cloud architecture and AWS preferred.
• Experience developing integration interfaces with Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Familiar with DevOps tooling: Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, AD, IdAM, LDAP.
• Experience with API gateways and catalogs; Agile/Jira familiarity.
• Exposure to containerized environments: Rancher, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows in cloud environments.
• Support cloud architecture and system design, with AWS preference.
• Develop integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Decompose tasks with Agile methods and Jira story development.
• Create robust test plans; perform system testing and troubleshooting.
• Administer system components, API gateways, and catalogs.
• Automate using Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, AD/IdAM/LDAP.
• Support containerized environments with Rancher, Kubernetes, or similar.
• Document technical procedures and security requirements.
