Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) seeks a Senior Cloud & DevSecOps Engineer to join the mission at Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on building secure, automated pipelines and cloud-native architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and on‑prem environments to support DoD workloads.

You will lead modernization of legacy defense apps, implement secure by design software factories, and drive RMF-compliant deployments with zero mission degradation.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
• DoD 8140/8570 IASAE Level II or III (CISSP, CASP+, CISSP-ISSEP) required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy DoW portfolios and design target-state IL5/IL6 architectures.
• Architect end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with cATO-ready automation.
• Embed automated security controls (SAST/DAST/SCA, DISA STIG checks, OPA guardrails).
• Develop modular IaC templates (AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM, Terraform) for repeatable deployments.
• Lead migrations from on-prem SIPR/NIPR to AWS GovCloud/Azure Government with zero mission degradation.
