Job summary

Penn Mutual is seeking a Sr. Manager, Site Reliability Engineering (DevOps) to lead a first-level team responsible for secure, reliable software delivery across our technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, platform/ cloud engineering or similar.
• 2+ years leading engineers or people leadership.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, cloud services, release engineering, and observability.
• Experience applying standards, metrics, and continuous improvement in an enterprise tech environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with business impact awareness.
• Knowledge of IT service management, change management, and risk practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop DevOps engineers with performance and career development.
• Remain hands-on with critical technical work and review designs/automation patterns.
• Translate strategy into team plans with measurable deliverables.
• Manage daily operations of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and production readiness.
• Drive IaC, DevSecOps, automated testing, secure config, monitoring and documentation.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to improve deployment reliability and operational resilience.
• Support AWS cloud adoption and modernization with standardized automation and observability.
• Use metrics and platform health indicators to improve team performance and service quality.
• Participate in incident reviews, change governance, and operational improvement initiatives.
