Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration and scripting experience.
• Experience with Tomcat and Apache web servers.
• CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Messaging/streaming tech like IBM MQ and Confluent Kafka.
• Database tech such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Container tech with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Automation with Ansible.
• Redis cache exposure.
• Git-based source control and branching.
• Networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS.
• Java and Angular development frameworks (not developer level).
• Certificate management understanding.
• Observability tools like Dynatrace, Logscale, Elasticsearch, Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Platform Engineering & Infrastructure: design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, secure infrastructure.
• Manage Linux-based server environments and containerized apps.
• IaC/CaC with Ansible.
• Platform upgrades, patching, certificates, lifecycle maintenance.
• CI/CD & Automation: build, deploy, release pipelines; automate repetitious tasks.

• Reliability & Operations: monitor health with observability/APM tools (Dynatrace).
• Security & Compliance: manage vulnerabilities, secrets, certificate lifecycles.
• Release & Change: coordinate releases, rollback strategies, change control.
• Technical Leadership: mentor, enforce standards, drive modernization.
