Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a DevOps Manager to lead architecture and engineering efforts for simulation infrastructure, enabling modern full-flight development, security, and operations.

You will manage a team of engineers, promote DevOps and SRE practices, oversee 24/7 on-call rotations, and architect reliable on-prem and cloud environments leveraging Azure DevOps or GitLab, Terraform, and scripting. Strong leadership and compliance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Direct experience implementing and maintaining systems within highly regulated frameworks, specifically SOX, PCI-DSS, or NIST compliance.
• 5+ years managing direct reports within engineering or operations, with experience across Windows, Linux, and modern software stacks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing team of engineers.
• Promote DevOps principles, automated workflows, and an SRE culture across the organization.
• Oversee Level 1 support, 24/7 on-call rotation and incident response coordination.
• Architect, operate, and maintain on-prem and cloud infrastructure for high-volume enterprise applications.
• Work with database architectures including SQL, AWS RDS, Oracle SQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
• Design and build CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps or GitLab.
• Hands-on with Git fundamentals and scripting (Bash, Python).
