Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to advance architecture and management of engineering and simulation solutions. The role emphasizes IaC, automation, and secure deployment pipelines across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will mentor teams, drive DevSecOps practices, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to improve service reliability and performance. The position requires 6–8 years in DevOps/SRE, expertise with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.
• 6-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Hands-on experience managing production workloads in on-prem or cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Mastery of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management.
• Deep understanding of modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience with containerized applications using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, DevOps practices, and IT compliance standards.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols and secure network architecture.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting for automation.
• Ability to lead, guide, and mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high uptime, robust performance, and consistent service delivery.
• Write modular, version-controlled IaC configurations for scalable environments.
• Design and manage observability to proactively catch system issues.
• Lead initial production troubleshooting to identify root causes.
• Streamline SDLC and automate workflows across teams.
• Collaborate with development, operations, QA, and security to automate deployments.
• Document architecture and implementation details for stakeholders.
• Promote DevSecOps and mentor junior engineers.
• Advocate DevOps culture and security-focused practices.
