Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong Kubernetes and container orchestration experience, plus CI/CD, automation, AWS, and Linux system administration. A background in big data is a plus.

This role supports a customer onsite in San Antonio, TX. The position requires a Top Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred) and a proven history of leading engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development; or 7 years with a Masters; or 13 years with a HS diploma.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their use in deployment/management.
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support development and deployment of on-premise and portable Edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems; resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies; explore ways to improve infrastructure.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams; contribute as a tech lead or manager.
