Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team in San Antonio, TX. You will deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure service reliability at scale.

The ideal candidate has strong Kubernetes and AWS experience, plus scripting in Python/Bash and Linux system administration. This role requires collaboration with development teams and occasional onsite work.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred and U.S. citizenship is required.
• 5+ years in DevOps or software development with a related degree; or 3 years with a master's.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) for infra deployment.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Proficient in Python, Bash or Go; comfortable in a Linux/macOS terminal.
• Experience deploying and managing scalable cloud and on‑prem infrastructure.
• Excellent problem solving and communication; AGILE experience.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS, esp. EKS.
• Automate deployment processes to ensure reliability and scale.
• Maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with dev teams to integrate apps into infra.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
• Improve processes and tools to achieve high availability.
• Stay current with new tech and industry trends.
• Mentor junior staff and guide engineering teams as needed.
• Occasionally work onsite in San Antonio, TX, 5 days a week.
