Job summary

Fundraise Up is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer / SRE to own key platform areas end-to-end, focusing on observability or CI/CD pipelines. You will drive architecture, reliability, and roadmaps while guiding incident response and post-mortems. This role emphasizes hands-on execution, mentoring, and strong Linux skills.

You will work with a global team in a fully remote setup, delivering scalable, observable systems and automation. Remote collaboration and a strong ownership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a DevOps Engineer / SRE (or very close responsibilities).
• Track record of owning technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Confident Linux skills (Ubuntu).
• Working knowledge of the Prometheus stack and alerting.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and artifact delivery.
• Containers: Docker, image building, registries.
• Experience with Bash or Python scripting.
• Production/on-call experience and incident troubleshooting.
• Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own core platform areas end-to-end: observability or CI/CD; drive architecture, reliability and roadmap.
• Lead technical initiatives from requirements to production delivery and post-incident health.
• Define requirements and next steps in ambiguous situations.
• Design for reliability and scale; evolve architecture and integration points.
• Support developers with deployments, monitoring, metrics, alerts, and logs; participate in on-call channels.
• Automate repetitive operations and provisioning to remove toil.
• Investigate incidents as senior escalation point; drive resolution and post-mortems.
• Mentor less experienced engineers through reviews and pairing.
• Apply AI to day-to-day tasks: researching, troubleshooting, and development.
