Job summary

Remote Build is Remote's agentic shift: as AI agents proliferate across HR and Finance stacks, they need to route through the employment infrastructure layer - labour law across 100+ countries, payroll, entity structures, the compliance rail. The infrastructure powering these integrations must be rock-solid, secure, and built for scale.

As Senior DevOps for Remote Build, you'll own the operational excellence and infrastructure strategy that makes Build's platform reliable, performant, and safe

Qualifications

• Senior-level Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps experience with production systems at scale.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in production and strong AWS fundamentals.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong bash scripting and Linux system knowledge.
• Clear communication and runbook documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code patterns using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems; lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Embed security into Build infrastructure and meet multi-jurisdiction compliance.
• Optimize performance, resource usage, and cloud costs.
• Eliminate manual toil; build tools to improve efficiency.
• Ensure APIs and CLI are resilient and observable; provide infrastructure feedback.
