Job summary

DV Trading in Chicago is seeking a senior level DevOps Engineer to build and operate the infrastructure powering DV's trading systems. You'll work on Kubernetes at scale, a firm-wide observability platform, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow orchestration on-prem.

You'll own critical platform components from day one, collaborating with trading desks and development teams to ensure reliability, performance, and rapid deployment of new features in a high-pressure trading environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on Kubernetes production experience with cluster lifecycle, networking, and storage.
• Production observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting.
• GitOps and CI/CD knowledge (ArgoCD, Flux, GitLab/GitHub Actions).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible.
• Go or Python for automation; comfortable with YAML/Helm.
• Strong communication with trading desks and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Kubernetes platform operations and evolution including cluster upgrades and provisioning.
• Operate and scale on-prem observability stack: Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and GitOps tooling for deployments to platforms.
• Build automation for provisioning, configuration, and self-service tooling.
• Onboard trading desks and development teams; write runbooks and contribute to docs.
