Job summary

Erias Ventures is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer in Columbia, MD to advance cloud and edge infrastructure. You will implement infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure monitoring, reliability and performance of services.

Requirements include 9+ years in DevOps or related fields, TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, and strong Kubernetes/AWS expertise. You will mentor engineers and participate in off-hours maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in DevOps engineering or software development with a related degree; or 7+ years with a related master's degree.
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda).

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Improve processes for high availability and performance.
• Mentor and provide senior-level leadership to engineers.
• Occasional off-hours and weekend maintenance as needed.
