Job summary

Columbia, MD-based Erias Ventures seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a fast-paced team. The role focuses on Kubernetes-based infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD across AWS and on-prem/edge deployments.

The ideal candidate has 9+ years in DevOps or software development with a related degree, or 7+ years with a Masters. Strong Linux, Python/Bash/Go skills, and leadership experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Nine plus years DevOps Eng or Software Dev with a related degree; or seven years with a Master's.
• Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration expertise.
• AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) proficiency for infra deployment.
• Configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with application/container/OS deployment, scaling and management.
• Programming in Python, Bash, or Go; strong Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and deployment tools; terminal proficiency.
• AGILE software development and leadership/mentorship experience.
• Willing to open/close workspace; on-site Columbia, MD schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure development and deployment in AWS (EKS).
• Develop non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure for on-prem and portable systems.
• Automate deployment processes ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS resources; monitor systems.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate applications into infra.
• Troubleshoot production issues; drive performance improvements.
• Mentor engineers; lead initiatives and process improvements.
• Maintain 40-hour, 5-day on-site work week in Columbia, MD.
