Erias Ventures in Columbia, MD seeks a senior DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes and AWS experience to join a fast-paced development team. The role requires designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable infrastructure, automating CI/CD pipelines, and guiding a team of engineers.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in DevOps or software development, hands-on Terraform/Ansible, and DoD 8140 compliance; on-site presence in Columbia, MD is expected.

Qualifications

• Nine plus (9+) years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development
• Bachelor's degree in related field or seven (7) years with Masters or HS diploma with 13 years experience
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda)
• Proficient with Terraform and Ansible
• Experience leading teams and mentoring engineers

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS (EKS) and on-prem/edge infra
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infra
• Integrate applications into infrastructure with development teams
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems; resolve issues
• Maintain high availability and performance; adopt new tools
• Mentor and guide engineers; contribute as a senior tech lead
• Coordinate with stakeholders; align with Agile practices
• Flex workflow for off-hours maintenance as needed
