Job summary

Enlighten seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team in Hanover, MD. The role focuses on Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation across AWS infrastructure, with on-site rotation and hybrid work options.

You will collaborate with developers to ensure scalable, reliable services and monitor systems for high availability. Requirements include Top Secret clearance, 9+ years in DevOps or related fields, strong scripting in Python/Bash/Go, and DoD 8140/8570 certifications.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: Top Secret U.S. Government clearance; U.S. citizenship.
• 9+ years in DevOps or software development with a related bachelor’s degree, or 7 years with a master’s.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration.
• Experience with AWS services and deployment/management of infra.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go; comfortable in terminal environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications (e.g., Security+).

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure development and AWS deployment, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS resources for production readiness.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into infra.
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, ensure high availability.
• Continuously improve processes and tooling for performance gains.
• Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.
• Possible on-call work as needed.
