Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

Qualifications

• Top Secret/SCI clearance required; U.S. citizenship.
• 9+ years of DevOps engineering or software development experience; or 7 years with a Master's.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3 and Lambda.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Programming in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
• Willingness to work onsite at Fort Meade, MD five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, notably EKS.
• Deploy and manage on-premise and portable Edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Continuously improve tools to maximize availability and performance.
• Lead and mentor team members as a senior engineer.
• Perform duties as assigned.
