Job summary

Erias Ventures is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer II in Columbia, MD to own automation, deployment, and cloud infrastructure across the software lifecycle. The role emphasizes production support and ownership beyond traditional development, with a focus on secure, scalable delivery.

Ideal candidates have SWE background and hands-on ops experience, including deploying and troubleshooting in production environments.

Qualifications

• On-call support for system operations
• Polygraph within the last 5 years is required
• Experience in designing, building, testing, and deploying changes to existing software
• Experience in enhanced infrastructure security protocols
• Knowledge in identifying manual processes that can be automated
• Experience in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure
• Automation of code integration, testing, and deployment to production securely and efficiently

Responsibilities

• Builds reliable, maintainable automation for CI and local environments
• Collaborates with engineering and QA to align automation with product and release needs
• Automate code integration, testing, and deployment to production securely and efficiently
• Provision and manage environments using automation tools
• Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting to detect issues
• Manage containerized applications for scalable performance
• Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to streamline processes
• Debug existing software and fix defects
• Propose improvements to documentation and development standards
