Job summary

Erias Ventures in Columbia, MD seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and troubleshoot platform architectures for mission-critical applications. You will lead release pipelines, automate deployments, and manage configuration management with Puppet/Ansible while collaborating in an Agile team.

Requirements include 10+ years in engineering or computer science, proficiency with Git, Linux, Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science with 10+ years of related experience.
• Must be fluent with Git and able to work in an Agile environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows system administration.
• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment.
• Experience with MySQL clusters, Elasticsearch, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the development life cycle of platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging.
• Build a release pipeline for fast, safe delivery of critical business software to Production.
• Maintain CM systems (GIT) with branching/merging strategies.
• Serve as technical lead for an Agile team and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Automate release deployments across stacks using scripting and automation tools.
• Set up sites/applications via Puppet and Ansible.
• Maintain documentation tools (Confluence/Jira) and web service deployments.
