Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a DevOps Engineer to drive architecture and management of engineering and simulation solutions. The role covers IaC, cloud and on-prem environments, and emphasizes automated pipelines, security, and performance.

The candidate will mentor teams, participate in SDLC optimization, and work with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure that supports aviation training technologies. Oklahoma-based office with opportunities for travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.
• 6–8 years in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Hands-on experience with on-prem or cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Mastery of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) and configuration management.
• Deep understanding of modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience managing containerized apps with Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems meet high uptime and performance needs.
• Write modular, version-controlled IaC configurations for environments.
• Design, monitor, and manage application performance and service quality.
• Lead production troubleshooting and resolve complex issues.
• SDLC optimization and cross-functional automation.
• Collaborate with dev, ops, QA, and security to automate workflows.
• Mentor junior DevOps and infrastructure engineers.
