Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic development team in Fort Meade, MD. You will apply strong Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, and scripting skills to implement scalable infrastructure and automated deployment pipelines.

The ideal candidate has expertise in Bash, Python, Go, and Terraform/Ansible, with a background in big data solutions and experience leading engineering efforts. Onsite customer support at Fort Meade is required.

Qualifications

• Security Clearance – TS/SCI required; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 5+ years DevOps or Software Development; or 3 years with Masters; or 9 years with HS diploma.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for config management.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, deployment tools.
• Proficient Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience as a tech lead, mentor, or manager.
• AGILE software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support AWS cloud infrastructure deployment, especially EKS.
• Support on-premises and edge infrastructure deployment.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scale.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with dev teams to integrate apps.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems.
• Improve processes for high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new tech and trends.
• Provide mentorship and team leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
