Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced development team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions.

Qualifications

• Top Secret TS/SCI clearance required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• 5+ years DevOps or software development; or 3 years with a Masters; or 9 years with HS diploma.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and deployment.
• Proficient in Terraform and Ansible for configuration management.
• Experience with application/container/OS deployment, scaling and management.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or Go; Git and Flux familiarity.
• Linux system administration and troubleshooting; AGILE methodologies.
• Leadership/mentorship experience; ability to guide teams.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS, especially EKS.
• Support non-cloud (Edge) on‑prem and portable equipment infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate apps into infra.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues.
• Continuously improve processes/tools for high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and mentor team members.
• Lead/mentor engineering teams and adjust workspace as needed.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
