Job summary

Rockwood Leadership Institute is seeking a senior manager to drive revenue through fundraising, sales, and partnerships. You will supervise the Grant Writer and coordinate with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to advance Rockwood's mission from its Oakland, CA office.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with partners and funders, managing the grant/sales cycle, and maintaining rigorous reporting and client communications to ensure renewals and growth.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, sales, consulting, or organizing.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate prospecting activities, sales calls, face-to-face meetings, and follow up on leads.
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus; strong track record in tracking details and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales/grants cycle, identify prospects, qualify leads, and close grants or sales.
• Follow up on external inquiries for collaboration with Rockwood and prepare proposals.
• Create client papers, proposals, and reports for leadership and funders.
• Track engagement data in Salesforce and prepare regular reports.
• Stay informed on fundraising and philanthropy trends related to leadership development.
• Participate in cross-functional Business Model analysis and cost review.
