Job summary

Rockwood Leadership Institute seeks a Grants Manager to lead grant writing, administration, and donor relations from its Oakland, CA office. This role coordinates with Resource, Program, and Finance teams to secure and report on funding opportunities and to advance Rockwood’s mission.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in fundraising with excellent writing and administrative skills, and comfort with Salesforce and MS Office.

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in fundraising or supporting the development department of a nonprofit.
Demonstrated ability to produce successful case statements and proposals.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

Drive the production, planning, writing, and delivery of proposals and reports in partnership with teams.
Write compelling impact statements and donor communications.
Oversee grant renewal schedules and budgets related to proposals and reports.
Maintain grant and donation filing systems and acknowledge letters.
Write and direct campaigns for donor appeals.
Support relationship management with funders and donors in Salesforce.
