Gunnison is seeking a Desktop Technician to support the DOI/IA user base, providing end-user computing support across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. The role includes installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, with emphasis on reliability of IT operations.

3+ years of experience and an associate degree are required. The position offers a salary of $40,000–$43,000 per year and requires U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience.
• Experience supporting desktop and laptop systems.
• Experience supporting mobile devices, printers, and scanners.
• Knowledge of LAN, servers, and network switches.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain government clearance.

Aufgaben

• Provide advanced Tier II/III technical support and resolve moderately complex technical issues.
• Provide advanced desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
• Support Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace (Gmail).
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Support specialized applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, or other business applications.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated issues.
