Job summary

Gunnison is hiring a Desktop Technician to support the Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs. The role covers end‑user computing across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure, with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.

You will support standard and specialized applications, including GIS and AutoCAD, and document incidents in a ticketing system. A government security clearance is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience.
• Experience supporting desktop and laptop systems, mobile devices, printers and scanners.
• Experience with LAN, servers, and network switches.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Tier II/III technical support and resolve moderately complex issues.
• Provide advanced desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
• Support Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Support specialized applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, or other business apps.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and changes in a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalations.
