Job summary

Gunnison Consulting Group is seeking a Desktop Technician to support the Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs user base across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. The role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, supporting standard and specialized applications, and ensuring reliable IT operations.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience.
• Experience supporting: Desktop and laptop systems, Mobile devices, Printers and scanners.
• LAN, servers, and network switches.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Tier II/III technical support and operate independently with minimal supervision, resolving moderately complex issues.
• Provide advanced desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
• Support Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Gmail).
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Support specialized applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, or other business applications.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated issues.]
