Job summary

Gunnison Consulting Group is seeking a Desktop Technician to support the Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs user base. The role covers end-user computing across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience.
• Experience supporting: desktop and laptop systems; mobile devices; printers and scanners; LAN, servers, and network switches.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Tier II/III technical support and operate independently with minimal supervision, resolving moderately complex technical issues.
• Provide advanced desktop and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
• Support Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace (Gmail).
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Support specialized applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, or other business applications.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated issues.
