Job summary

Gunnison Consulting Group in Portland, OR is seeking a Desktop Technician III to support the Department of the Interior/Indian Affairs user base across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network infrastructure.

The role installs, configures, and troubleshoots hardware and software, supports standard and specialized applications, and ensures reliable IT operations. Aiming for mid-October 2026 start date, the position offers a comprehensive benefits package and career growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of related technical experience.
• Experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers/scanners, LAN, servers, and network switches.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Tier II/III support independently and resolve moderately complex issues.
• Support desktop and end-user devices and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
• Support Microsoft OS, Office, and Google Workspace.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Support GIS, AutoCAD, and other business apps.
• Document incidents and resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve escalated issues.
