Job summary
Iron Systems, Inc in Chicago is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide field services and onsite IT support for Windows 10/11, Office 365, imaging, and device provisioning across multiple sites, ensuring high availability.
You will coordinate with facilities and cross‑functional teams, perform remote and on‑site troubleshooting, manage OS deployments with OPK/SCCM/Intune, and maintain asset hygiene while delivering fast, customer‑focused problem resolution.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years in Field Services / Onsite Support Services
- Proficient Windows 10/11 and Office 365
- Experience as Desktop/Technical Support Engineer
- Strong remote troubleshooting and communication
- Familiar with SCCM, Intune, OPK, PXE/DHCP
- Coordinate with multiple teams and manage workload
- Interact well across cultures and adapt to changing environments
Responsibilities
- Perform bulk refreshes and laptop provisioning
- Refresh PC support for individual users
- Manage onsite storage, loaner lockers, and asset tracking
- Coordinate asset ordering, repair, and returns with providers
- Setup desk arrangements and coordinate with Facility Management
- Troubleshoot hardware and software for mobile devices
- Collaborate with vendors for driver updates and patches
- Coordinate and manage asset lifecycle from provisioning to retirement
