Job summary

Investment Management Firm seeks a Senior Desktop Engineer to join a fast-paced IT team supporting business users in finance. Hybrid role with 4 days onsite per week; 6-month contract with potential extension or conversion.

You will own end-user computing, deliver high-touch support, and collaborate with Desktop Engineering, Infrastructure, and Systems teams. You will build and maintain workstations, support Windows 10/11, manage VDI, AD/GPO, and on-call support for executives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Desktop Support or IT roles.
• Experience in investment management or financial services.
• Strong Windows 10/11 experience.
• Experience with physical and virtual desktops (VDI).
• AD, GPO, provisioning and account administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to service desk requests.
• Provide desktop, laptop, and VDI support.
• Build, deploy, configure, and maintain workstations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, apps, and connectivity.
• Support users via phone, email, chat, and in-person.
• Manage collaboration, conferencing, printing, mobile devices, and telephony.
• Onboard/offboard users, provisioning, and access management.
• Create and maintain technical docs and knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams on projects.
• Handle competing priorities with high customer satisfaction.
