Job summary

Ensora Health is seeking a lead designer to drive the evolution of our design system across web and native mobile experiences. You will own components, tokens, documentation, accessibility, and governance, partnering with engineering to plan, review, and release updates.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in product or UX design with 3+ years leading design systems.
• Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing and evolving a design system with governance.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) and inclusive design.
• Experience designing responsive web and native mobile experiences.
• Advanced Figma skills including tokens, AI tools, and parity with code.
• Experience partnering with engineering on a coded component library.
• Strong communication and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Online portfolio showing design system and product design work.

Responsibilities

• Lead evolution, management, and quality of the design system across web and native mobile experiences.
• Own components, patterns, tokens, documentation, accessibility standards, and governance.
• Collaborate with engineering to plan, design, review, test, and release design system updates.
• Ensure parity between designed and coded sources across responsive experiences.
• Build accessibility into components and patterns from the start (WCAG/ADA).
• Advocate for accessible design and document accessibility expectations for designers and engineers.
• Maintain design system documentation including usage guidance and specs.
• Support AI readiness through documentation, tokens, guidance, and connections.
• Lead design system meetings, critiques, and team rituals; gather feedback and drive adoption.
• Write and prioritize backlog items with the product owner and engineering.
