Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a senior civil engineering leader to oversee the delivery of civil engineering elements for major light rail, heavy passenger rail, or bus projects within the Capital Delivery Department. The role requires coordinating large design consultant teams and working with Operations, Engineering, Safety, third parties and Quality staff to ensure value and quality of design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Five years of civil engineering/architectural design and construction experience including project and contracts management.
• Three years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, trains and motivates staff.
• Manages complex civil engineering design and coordination across multiple teams and consultants.
• Administers engineering contracts, including peer reviews, design reviews, schedules, budgets and risk assessments.
• Plans and negotiates formal agreements with third parties for project delivery.
• Ensures design support during construction and change management.
