Job summary

Sound Transit is hiring a senior civil/architectural project leader to oversee large rail and bus project design teams in a hybrid Seattle environment. You will coordinate multiple design groups, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure value and quality of design throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 5 years of relevant design/construction experience, and 3 years of leadership experience. A Professional Civil Engineer license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Five years of civil engineering/architectural design and construction experience including project and contracts management.
• Three years of leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coaches, trains and motivates staff.
• Manages complex civil engineering design projects across multiple disciplines.
• Administers engineering contracts, including reviews, schedules and budgets.
• Plans, negotiates and administers formal agreements and permits with third parties.
• Provides design support during construction and resolves design-related issues.
• Represents the agency in meetings and communicates with leadership.
