Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, is seeking an experienced engineer to lead IBRs/Rotors design within the GTF HPC Design team. The role involves design leadership across the full life cycle, coordinating with IPTs to drive improvements and address complex issues. Prior IBR rotor experience is preferred.

The position is onsite at the Middletown facility with opportunities to influence production ramp and multi-disciplinary collaboration. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering required with 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience, or MS with 3+ years.
• Experience with hardware, reading blueprints, and manufacturing methods required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program/contract information.

Responsabilités

• Design across all phases from preliminary to detailed design, validation, manufacturing, and service for HPC modules.
• Support existing GTF fleets by improving component commonality and optimization.
• Expand repairability and maintainability; collaborate with QA and other departments on field issues.
• Develop and implement standard work and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
• Review layouts, perform stack-up analyses, and conduct major cost studies to meet objectives.
