Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. seeks an experienced aerospace structural designer to advance new designs and modifications of aircraft structures and integrated systems. You will develop quality solutions on time from a design perspective, collaborating with static stress and FAA/fatigue teams.

The role expects a BS in Engineering and at least nine years of design/analysis experience, with proficiency in CATIA V5, 3DExperience, and related toolsets. Travel up to 5% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and mechanics of materials.
• Nine years of total design and analysis experience on airframe structures and system installation.
• Strong knowledge of CATIA V5 and 3DExperience rendering complex structures.
• Ability to work across design, static stress, and aircraft systems teams.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously perform moderate to complex design solution development.
• Create/modify design datasets and product structures in Airbus systems.
• Lead technical discussions with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to project milestones.
