Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Sr. Design and Construction Manager to lead complex facilities projects across the United States, including distribution centers, retail spaces, and kitchens.

You will manage scope, budget, timeline, and performance specs while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultants. This remote role requires 25% travel and a strong background in industrial design and construction management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or project management.
• 10+ years of experience in architecture design, construction management, or project management of industrial/distribution centers.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen; ability to forecast and manage capital projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with ability to present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrates leadership, delegates responsibilities, and drives team accountability.
• Aesthetic sensitivity and attention to detail in architectural design and branding integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project feasibility studies, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee design and construction from concept through closeout; manage scope, timeline and performance specs.
• Identify internal teams and external consultants/contractors; manage sourcing strategies.
• Lead site planning and approvals with external consultants and governmental entities.
• Direct building design with design professionals and contractors; review designs and changes.
• Oversee subcontractor bids, payments, change orders, and quality checks.
• Perform post-project analyses and lessons learned.
