Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Design and Construction Senior Manager to lead complex facility projects including temperature-controlled centers, training kitchens, and offices. You will manage scope, budget, timeline, and performance specs, coordinating internal stakeholders and external consultants.

The role is remote with up to 50% travel for site work, requiring strong leadership, budgeting, and design/ construction expertise to deliver facilities that meet US Foods standards and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in architecture/design or construction management of industrial facilities
• Strong financial and analytical skills for forecasting capital projects
• Effective communication and stakeholder management
• Proven leadership of project teams including consultants and contractors
• Ability to manage scope, budgets, timelines, and quality control
• Proactive in driving design and construction best practices

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies, goals, budget, and schedule for projects
• Partner with senior leadership to assemble internal project teams
• Recommend approaches (design/bid/build, design/build, etc.) and sourcing
• Clarify project parameters with stakeholders and define success criteria
• Hire and manage consultants/contractors for execution
• Lead site planning, design, reviews, and budget/performance reporting
• Oversee payments, punch lists, and project closeout
• Conduct post-project analyses and share lessons learned
• Engage in industry benchmarks and future practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on corporate real estate initiatives
