Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Design-Build Design Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects across the East Region. You will coordinate design, procurement, and delivery, driving excellence for clients while leveraging Jacobs' national resources.

This role requires strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams, client engagement, and adherence to quality standards, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to mentor junior staff across multi-state pursuits.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience on design-build projects, preferably in transportation.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with contractors, JV partners, consultants, and construction teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or related field; PE license.
• Knowledge of applicable industry and agency design standards throughout the design-build lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to support multi-state pursuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, consulting, design, and delivery teams for design-build and alternative delivery projects.
• Serve as main client contact to ensure expectations are identified and met.
• Oversee delivery of large-scale Design-Build and other delivery transportation projects.
• Provide direction to design teams and coordinate with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Develop proposals, staffing plans, budgets, and schedules to meet milestones.
• Support RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field reviews during construction.
• Mentor junior staff and foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
