Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Design-Build Design Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects in the East Region. You will coordinate design-build delivery, mentor teams, and manage client relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Supported by a broad network of resources, you will drive quality, pursue multi-state opportunities, and champion innovative delivery methods while maintaining Jacobs' standards of excellence and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading design-build projects, preferably in the transportation market.
• Substantial experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with contractors, JV partners, consultants and construction teams.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related degree.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer.
• Experience on transportation projects with DOT and established local relationships.
• Understanding of industry/agency design standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Demonstrated communication and writing skills.
• Willingness to support multi-state pursuits and delivery across alternative models.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop teams to pursue planning, consulting, design, and delivery work; assist Sales in opportunities and interviews.
• Act as the main client contact on assigned projects to ensure expectations are met.
• Oversee delivery of large-scale Design-Build and other delivery transportation projects.
• Lead project teams in design and documentation, coordinating with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Provide project management to reduce costs and ensure on-time, within-scope delivery; manage budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and site visits during construction.
• Ensure quality per Jacobs' Quality Program and mentor professionals.
• Support recruitment of design resources and grow regional presence.
