Job summary

Jacobs seeks an experienced Design-Build Design Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects across the East Region. You will drive design-build delivery, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and serve as the primary client contact to ensure project success.

The role emphasizes rigorous quality, collaboration, and mentorship, supported by a broad national network. A hybrid work policy enables in-office and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design-build projects, preferably in transportation.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams with contractors and consultants.
• PE registration is required or eligible.
• Extensive experience on transportation projects with DOT and local relationships.
• Familiarity with industry/agency design standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
• Willingness to support multi-state pursuits and alternative delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Lead design-build and alternative delivery transportation projects.
• Organize and develop teams to pursue planning, consulting, design and delivery work.
• Serve as main client contact to ensure expectations are met.
• Provide project management to deliver on time and within budget.
• Coordinate design documentation, RFIs, submittals, and site visits.
• Mentor junior staff and build the East Region transportation presence.
