Job summary

Jacobs in the East Region seeks a Design-Build Design Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects. You will coordinate design-build and other delivery methods, collaborating with clients and teams to deliver excellence.

With support from Jacobs’ national network, you’ll mentor staff, recruit resources, and strengthen our regional presence while delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client expectations. This role offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with active registration.
• Extensive experience leading design-build projects in transportation.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Build on client relationships and organize teams to pursue planning, consulting, design, and alternative delivery work.
• Act as main point of contact with clients to ensure expectations are identified and met.
• Oversee delivery of large-scale Design-Build and other delivery projects (CM/GC, PDB).
• Lead project teams in design and documentation, coordinating with stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Provide effective project management to deliver on time, within budget, and per scope; manage proposals, staffing, and schedules.
• Provide construction phase services including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and site visits.
• Ensure project quality per Jacobs Quality Program and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor emerging professionals and cultivate an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
• Recruit resources and help build a transportation presence in the East Region.
