Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Highway/ Managed Lanes) to lead teams on our largest nationwide projects. This officer-level role requires significant experience collaborating with contractors and a successful track record of leading teams on highway design-build initiatives.

The position can be based from any HNTB office nationwide and requires travel to project offices. You will drive project performance, mentor staff, and pursue mega opportunities in line with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 12 years of related experience, including 6 years on mega/super mega projects.
Experience leading and delivering large design-build highway projects with contractors.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and staff development capabilities.

Responsibilities

Develops key client relationships and serves as primary contact on assigned projects.
Manages financial performance, cash, budget, schedule, and scope to meet goals.
Sets priorities and staffs projects per Work Plan with directors and managers.
Collaborates with leadership to solve challenges and reach business objectives.
Leads and mentors project staff, overseeing staffing, development, and performance reviews.
Leads mega project pursuits and presents proposals to clients and industry.
