Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Highway/Managed Lanes) to lead teams on major nationwide projects. The role requires extensive experience in design management on highway design-build programs and travel to project offices across the country.

Responsibilities include client management, budget and schedule control, staff staffing, and pursuit leadership for mega/ super mega engagements. Advanced degrees and professional certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 12 years of mega project experience.
• Minimum 6 years leading mega and/or super mega highway design projects.
• PE certification in multiple states is preferred.
• DBIA certification and PMP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Responsible for financial performance including cash, budget, schedule and project scope.
• Staff projects by collaborating with Group Directors and Managers to align with the Work Plan.
• Leads pursuits of mega projects and presents to clients and industry.
• Mentors project staff and oversees staffing, recruitment, and performance reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
