Job summary

Iridium Satellite LLC seeks a Senior Deputy Program Manager, Engineering, to oversee space development projects on SDA funding. You will partner with senior management to shape strategic plans, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver end-to-end system solutions, including new product development within the Iridium architecture.

You will manage multiple initiatives, coordinate with customers, and drive delivery while maintaining schedule and budget, with a focus on strategic program decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, or science.
• 10+ years of relevant USG development/operational program management experience.
• 5+ years managing complex technical projects, preferably DoD/IC satellite programs.
• 5-7 years of classical engineering experience.
• Experience leading Scaled Agile projects.
• Experience managing cross-functional issues with analysis
• Ability to foster cross-functional team building
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions

Responsibilities

• Work with senior management to develop strategic plans for the program's technical vision and deliver high-quality results.
• Coordinate and deliver multiple complex assignments within timelines and budgets.
• Ensure projects meet financial targets and are tracked in pipeline budgets and estimates to complete.
• Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure quality results and proper use of funds.
• Provide thought leadership in program design and delivery.
• Manage requirements and planning using configuration management practices.
• Support proposal development and execution for future contracts.
• Provide clear briefings to senior leadership and manage risks and issues.
