EliseAI in San Francisco seeks a Deployment Strategist Lead to found and scale a core function: delivering our accounting platform from initial deployment through full operational adoption. You will own the accounting layer of complex deployments, collaborating with Controllers, CFOs, and accounting teams to scope workflows, configure systems, and ensure a clean transition into live operations.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, product management, and/or founder/operator roles at high-growth startups
• Background in accounting or finance (e.g., Controller, Senior Accountant, accounting consultant)
• Experience managing complex, client-facing implementations or projects
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (GL, reconciliations, close process, workflows)
• Excellent communicator who can build trust with senior finance stakeholders
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple concurrent deployments under tight timelines
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in ambiguity
• Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days a week

Responsibilities

• Own accounting deployment success end-to-end across multiple engagements
• Lead discovery, scoping, and decisioning with Controllers, CFOs, and Finance teams
• Own configuration and implementation: COA setup, vendor/entity setup, mapping workflows
• Drive data migration readiness and post-launch success: reconciliations and validation
• Enable adoption and training: run trainings and demos for accounting teams
• Build scalable systems and playbooks with Product and Engineering to improve workflows
